H.R. 436 – Protect Medical Innovation Act of 2011

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act created a new 2.3% excise tax on medical device manufacturers.  The tax is scheduled to begin in 2013. H.R. 436 would repeal the new tax, preventing a $20 billion tax burden on the innovative medical technology industry.
